The name of the story is Becky and the-wheels-and-the-brake-boys the name of the author is James Berry. It talk’s about a girl named Becky who wants a bike but can’t get one until the end of the story. Becky is a credible character. She shows that she is credible through what she fells, says, and dose.
Becky is believable because she wants to fit in whit the other children. For example, Becky thinks, “I only want to be whit Nat, Aldo, Jimmy, and Ben.” They all have bikes, and she wants one to, so she can ride and play whit them. This proves that Becky is credible because lots of people has a time when we want something that will help them fit in whit other kids.
Now I will tell you why Becky is credible for asking her mom. Becky is credible because she begged her mom on and on for days. Also “Over and over I told my mom I wanted a bike.A while later she says to her mother, “I still want to have a bike badly.” In order to get what she wants, Becky thinks she has to ask several times and give reasons for how she fells toward the item. This shows Becky is believable because most kid’s love begging their parents to get what they want.
Finally I will tell you another reason why Becky is a credible character in this story. She is a credible character because she fights whit her friends. For example, Becky thinks, “For the first time me and Shirnette had a real fight, because of what I hated most.” Shirnette wanted to get back at Becky because Becky had put a centipede up her shirt, so she got even whit her by putting a cockroach in Becky’s blouse. This proves that Becky is a realistic character because a lot of best friends get in fights, but then they make up.
In conclusion, Becky, the main character in “Becky and the wheels-and-brake-boys,” is believable because of her emotions, words, and actions. That means that she is the average child.
